Trends in the Use of Reversible Modern Contraceptives in Burkina Faso between 2010 and 2015

Background: In Burkina Faso, efforts have been made between 2010 and 2015 to address the low levels of contraceptive utilization. However, socio-cultural context in country still reinforces traditional gender roles, status for women, a strong desire larger families. The objectives this study are twofold: 1) analyze trends reversible modern prevalence, 2) identify factors influencing use contraceptives, comparing urban rural areas. Data Methods: We conducted an analysis using data from Faso sourced Demographic Health Survey (DHS) Module (DHM). DHS received responses 17,087 women aged 15 - 49 years, achieving response rate 98.4%. Similarly, DHM garnered 11,504 with 96.6%. Results: Our findings revealed that while advancements were observed areas, majority underprivileged faced limited access contraception.
